‘America’s Next Top Model’ Whitney Thompson and Chenese Lewis Pose for NOH8 Campaign

Well, they’re at it again.

America’s Next Top Model winner Whitney Thompson and our ownChenese Lewis—who last month raised eyebrows by posing nude together for the Hollywood Chapter of the National Organization for Women’s Fifth Annual Love Your Body Day—are using their star power for another good cause.

Earlier this month, the dynamic duo slipped into celebrity photog Adam Bouska’s L.A. studio to shoot a series of pics for his NOH8 (pronounced “No Hate”) campaign, a grassroots movement supporting same-sex marriage in the state of California.

What you see here is an exclusive peek at Whitney (r.) and Chenese’s twist on the two-year-old effort. That by painting NOH8 on their bods as well as on their faces.

“We’re combining the Love Your Body and NOH8 campaigns to demonstrate acceptance not only of all body types but of everyone’s sexuality,” Chenese, who hosts BlogTalkRadio’s ever-popular PLUS Model Radio, tells us.

She also reveals that, in the wake of her Love Your Body Day campaign, a number of haters bombarded her and Whitney’s in-the-buff pics with homophobic comments.

“Since I’m not gay—nor is Whitney—we haven’t experienced that type of discrimination before,” says Chenese.

“But let me tell you, it was shocking and hurtful to both of us.”

The soon to be released "Like a Meteor" (written by Jamie Lynn Noon) has been nominated for a 2010 Hollywood Music In Media Award (HMMA).

This is Jamie's second HMMA nomination. In 2009, she earned a nomination for "Second of a Spark", the lead track on her debut release (A Moment to Break).

This year's Awards Event will take place on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at the Highlands in the Kodak Theater Complex in Hollywood, California.

The Hollywood Music in Media Awards recognizes and honors the music of visual mediums, the talented individuals responsible for creating and selecting it, and the music of both mainstream and independent artists from around the globe. Jianda Monique's New Single "Whole Heart" Continues The Extended Meditation Jam.

Jianda Monique, whose single "Stay In Love," among others, was recently featured in the full-length drama/comedy "Family" (Dir. Faith Trimel) is back in fine form...or yogic form, perhaps?

Often critiqued for the "songs in the round" structure of some of her previous tunes, including "Wish" (From Om Records' noted Tenth Anniversary release, "Om Lounge 10") and "Stay In Love," Jianda Monique simply follows the muse, which continues to whisper sweet somethings to her like: Keep it simple. Keep it tribal. Keep it round.

"Song structure, western scales, pop song construction, while I love them and they sell records, they don't take the place of the human heartbeat," Jianda begins. "There was song as salve, song as celebration, song as ritual before song as structure, I'm sure of it."

Jianda continues, "I like the tribal, loving, organic feeling I get when I'm chilling, tapping into Source, meditating. We can even have walking meditations, dancing meditations, and of course, dreaming, making love, making light, making life. Everything comes back to the heartbeat--the repetitive, consistent, insistent, persistent beat of the heart. I've decided to explore this more organic idea. Everyday, it feels like that's just beginning, hence the name and the tone of the track--Whole Heart."

Having attempted fundraising to record an album in the last few months, Jianda decided to take the new album idea one song at a time when the efforts stalled midway. "I'm grateful for those who offered up support, but Spirit has a different journey in mind apparently," she continues. "Whole Heart" spoke to me, telling me it was time to begin again. Music heals, gets right to the heart of things for me. I needed to keep moving forward."

Says Jianda: "I guess keeping it round means being well-rounded, too. I love art and artists from every walk of life, so why wouldn't my art reflect that? My music's moving in more of a meditative direction right now, and I'm happy to let that blossom and unfold for the Highest Good."

An eclectic artist in her own right (often compared to everyone from Sade, to Tracy Chapman, to the Cocteau Twins), Jianda's also a radio host at BlogTalkRadio, and a writer.

Happy Belated, Diva--but isn't every damn day like your birthday? I thought so.

Madonna's fierceness is a force of nature, y'all! The woman in me would love to have her stylist and personal trainer on payroll--and speed dial. The artist in me would love to have her studio space(s). The mother in me identifies: she loves like a lioness, including her self-love. The musician in me marvels at her continual evolution--sonically, spiritually, artistically, Madonnaically. So Divalicious!

Trippy...magical...electric. 4AD's stellar electronica act St. Vincent combines macabre imagery with refreshingly healing ideas and tones. The band's video complements the inner-gone-outer dialogue intriguingly: "H-E-L-P, help me, help me," sings the beguiling Annie Erin Clark. No artifice, no metaphors, just the simple and plaintive plea.

In Clark's wake, she passes dysfunctional vehicles, fighting nomad wanderers, fix-it men, Urban Outfitters attired fake-slackers and--quite seemingly--she passes a plane in her own thought...her own heartspace. Is the lyrical narrator a healer? A helper? A facilitator for others to continue to search for assistance of their own? For healing? For respite? This visually striking treatise on how we're all so dis/connected on the planet brings to light more questions than answers.
